The roses came back really well. On tank water out there and roses loved the water from the shower as I used to have a bucket in the shower.( Ahhh!!!! A tip for your roses!!) They really do love grey water. But be careful not to use anything with bleach in it.

Winter here in Maryborough and the tourist gurus won't like it when I say it does get bloody cold here at times. I moved into the city from Aldershot only 4 months ago and last winter was terrible. Heres some pics of the ice and frost. I lost over 300 plants many for the simple reason they were touching the plastic of the hot house. Our banana trees froze and died, but oh boy the roses then came back with a vengeance.
Scraped frost off the hot house
Black from frost and it did eventually completely die off and then came back ok.
Put a glass bottle of water out and it froze solid.
Frost and ice on the hot house roof
Some frost on the grass

Welcome to Mark's Green Mayhem. Starting this blog to show what I do with my plants and explain why, how and pics of plants and how to care for them, my way. After reading so much garbage on sites about plants needing this and that or they won't grow I decided there are a lot of EGGSPURTS out there who really think they know everything and know nothing at all. I am not an expert in anything, I'll just tell you what works for me and you can tell me what works for you. I like learning something new every day. I like weird and wonderful plants and weird and whacky ways to grown them.
